New Million Dollar Spectacular Specials To Air In May
Three new one-hour The Price Is Right Million Dollar Spectacular specials will be broadcast in primetime on Saturday, May 3, Saturday, May 10 and Saturday, May 17 (8:00 - 9:00 PM, ET/PT, each night) on CBS. On these specials, contestants will be able to win $1 million by landing on the $1.00 spot in the bonus spin on the Big Wheel. Also, the value of playing Plinko, the show’s most popular game, will be boosted from $50,000 to $100,000 for these specials.
The Price Is Right, now in its 31st season, will feature models Claudia Jordan, Brandy Sherwood and Shane Stirling, and the show’s announcer, Rod Roddy. In addition to the monetary increase of the cash prizes, the show will also upgrade the other awards by featuring such lavish SUVs as the Hummer and Cadillac truck. During its 31-year history, 1.5 million people have sat in the studio audience for The Price Is Right tapings and 50,000 of them have made it to contestants' row to share in more than $250 million worth of prizes.
