It's OFFICIAL! Drew Carey to host TPiR!

Reader Tom G astutely alerted us to the fact that within the last hour comedian-actor Drew Carey has confirmed he will be the new host of The Price is Right, replacing the recently retired Bob Barker.
The news was confirmed during a taping of this evening's episode of the "Late Show" with David Letterman.
Carey will also host a new CBS prime-time game show, "The Power of 10," that will premiere next month. Carey told the Associated Press that CBS officials first contacted him about TPiR immediately after he completed a pilot of the other game show this spring.
