For the second Million Dollar Spectacular in a row, Drew was accompanied by escorts as he made his entrance from the Big Doors. Within the first five minutes of the show, Drew made mention of his tuxedo and the two piece swimwear worn as the Puerto Vallarta trip was revealed as the first Item Up for Bids. Brenda of North Carolina was surprised along with many other viewers to see three automobiles in One Wrong Price. This was also the first time I’ve seen Mini Cooper automobiles on the show. Unfortunately for Brenda, the price of the Hatchback model, or “number one”, seemed right in her eyes. Lindsay has a chance not only to win as much as $100,000 in Plinko, but $1 million dollars if three of her Plinko chips fall into the $20,000 slot, thus earning her a golden Plinko chip for the chance to win the big prize. After one chip got stuck near the bottom of the Plinko, “Do over!” Lindsay shouted instead of Drew, who would normally say such a thing. There was no need for the Plinko stick this time. Lindsay became $41,000 richer in spite of her fourth chip not falling into the $20,000 slot (her fifth chip did). Jeremy, bearer of the Alabama Crimson Tide sweater, plays Pocket Change for a Lincoln automobile courtesy of the show or the “used car lot” Drew joked about. Unfortunately the price of the car (25 cents) rose three times too much for Jeremy, whose game ended with 50 cents. Rita’s game of Pushover featured two expensive motorcycles from Suzuki, but she managed to find a price that was most likely the total prize value. According to our host, the audience was “ooing” as Any Number came around the Turntable for Christopher in his Marine dress uniform. Megan saw a crowded Party Boat as her prize in Pick A Pair. She stayed with the $2.99 Salsa, but didn’t realize how low in price the Pain Reliever was. Contestants not appearing on stage included a very interesting one: Vance, who only used his fingers to tell an interpreter his bids. Tonight’s Showcase featured a Chevy Corvette, a Lawn Tractor, and a Motorhome. We end tonight’s not with a millionaire, but with Lindsay the proud owner of $120,633 in prizes.
